I did a watercolor painting of it a few years ago with the intention of making it into an oil painting. Around the time that I completed the watercolor, the Tucson Street Fair asked me if I had any designs they could use for their fall street fair poster (I think this was in 2023). I submitted the watercolor, and they liked the idea but asked me if I could adapt it to feel more like Tucson, because the watercolor background resembled Peru. I didn't have time to whip up the oil painting at the speed they needed it, so I set it aside for another time. This year, after I took an oil painting class with Robert Liberace, I learned some new techniques that gave me the confidence to tackle this image as an oil painting. Here is the final product. I may submit it to the Tucson 4th Ave Street Fair to see if they want to use it for a poster, but whether or not they do, I'm happy to have this joyful painting in my collection to share with you all.
